Surfing 2012-01-05

Shot with a GoPro camera attached to the nose of my board. Board is an 8’0″ Junod single fin (that I’d never surfed before). This is most of the session (I filled the memory card with a couple waves left). The video is ok. It’s really not the greatest angle. The camera needs to face more towards the wave, so you see more wave and less beach. Also, this is a fairly lined-up wave, but the wide angle lens flattens it out so it always looks like you’re closer to the shoulder than you are (the camera being at the tip of the nose doesn’t help either). Watch the first wave for an example — it looks flat, but then it sections out in front of me. A helmet cam or something like that would probably make for a better view.

On this day I was walking along the beach towards my friends and before I reached them I already caught my limit so I released one striped bass then as soon as I reached some of my friends I hooked up right away again so I decided to call it a day,,,,Man,,,,on this day I only fished for about 15 minutes and released a fish and still left with my limit,,,,Haahaahaa”,,,,”ANOTHER GOOD DAY OF FISHING”,,,,”PEACE!!! I filmed this video with my GoPro Hero HD Helmet Camera and my fishing rod that I used is a Dobyns DX783 SF rod.
